Enclosing the shower or tub only partially, by removing the encumbrance of a door which swings out into the middle of the space, automatically improves flow and increases the perception of space. For owners with accessibility concerns, a curbless and doorless entry are typically wheelchair friendly too.

There are some drawbacks to the fixed shower screen options. The main concern for a shower enclosure without a door is the shower may become drafty. Depending on the layout of your bathroom and the size of your shower, you may find that a shower screen does not allow the shower area to warm up like a fully enclosed shower.
